Principle Krystle Gerrard - AIDTA CDE

Krystle began dancing at the age of four and throughout her teenage years received several scholarship nominations from the International Dance Teachers Association. These awards were for outstanding performance and achievement in Ballet, Tap Modern and Theatre craft. She also won many Irish dance and Cheerleading competitions.

She graduated from Pattison's College in 2003 and also that year Krystle was one of only ten dancers selected from across the country to represent the UK in the World Cheerleading Championships. Her theatre credits include Good King Wenceslas, Aladdin, Carmen, Turnadot and Cinderella. Krystle made her West End debut in 2002 when she performed in renowned tap dancer Derek Hartley’s A Cool Beat Rhythm Suite. Her television credits include UKTV Style and “Saturday” for Cyprus TV. She has also danced at several hotels including The Alton Towers Hotel and appeared as Jake in The Tweenies Show (resident at Alton Towers).
In recent years Krystle has focused on her teaching career though still regularly dances in tribute shows and corporate events. She returned to the UK in 2005 after teaching at a Ballet School in Cyprus and now teaches at numerous schools across the Midlands. She opened the Krystle Jayne’s Dance Academy in 2008 when she realized there was a need for high quality dance tuition in a fun and relaxed environment. To date she has a 100% pass rate in all IDTA and RAD exams.
